  • What are the measurements of a specific item?

    You can see the main size measurements of your item in the item page. However, since every clothing item is different, it is almost impossible to keep track of every distinct measurement of the item. You can always exchange an item with the SAME SERIAL NO. for free if it doesn't fit.

  • How do I pick the right size?

    Every clothing item comes with a standard US size chart. Simply pick your clothing size as you would if you were ordering from other clothing websites in America. The sizes you see in our size chart refers to actual body size measurements, and NOT clothes sizes.

  • Do you offer larger clothing sizes?

    For most of our range, we do. Our largest women size goes up to XL (US Size) and XXL (US Size) for men. However, if you couldn't find the sizes you need, we do offer customer-made service for some selected designs.

  • Do you have cleaning and ironing instructions?

    We usually offer recommended washing instructions in every clothing item page. If in doubt, the safest way is to delicately hand-wash your clothing items in cold water.

  • Why are some products classed as 'assorted'?

    Due to the handcrafted nature of certain products, no two items, although in the same category may look exactly the same in design. However, you can get a general idea what to expect by looking at our product pictures. Furthermore, since we hand pick each product individually, you can be sure that we will send you an item that you can be more than satisfied with not to mention their individual uniqueness.

  • How often is your website upload with new products?

    We try to update our website with new products almost constantly. You can keep up with our new products by visiting our site from time to time by checking out our Whats New sections available in every category. Or you may also subscribe to our newsletter and be updated to the arrival of any new products as well as be entertained by the stories and articles that we write concerning the orient.

  • The maintenance of the Fabric and clothes

    The maintenance of the clothes made of synthetic fiber and blending fabric
    Firstly, wash it in plain water. Then use the weak basic detergent with the water temperature under 40 degree centigrade. Dry it by hands gently instead of using washing machine. Straighten the clothes and hang it in cool and well-ventilated places. Don't expose it in the sun. The ironing temperature should not be high (the Fabric containing chlorofibre: under 70 degree centigrade; the Fabric containing acrylicfibre: under 100 degree centigrade.) If it is a bright-colored fabric, the ironing temperature should be lowered moderately. Don't use much force when ironing the clothes and keep the electric iron moving constantly. Pad is needed to prevent the fabric from softening. (The Fabric containing vinylon can't be ironed with water) Store it after drying and cooling.

    Wash the Fabric and clothes made of silk with neutral detergent. Wash it gently by hand instead of using the washing machine. Dry it in the cool places. Never expose it in the sun. When the clothes are dried practically, iron it with a white cloth pad. The ironing temperature can be a little high but don't squirt water on it in case that watermark will be left. Dry it before you store it. Don't put moth-ball in the light-colored bleached fabric for fear that it will make the fabric yellow.

    The maintenance of the clothes made of the cotton
    After washing the clothes with the weak basic detergent, rinse it in plain water. Don't brush it forcefully in case that it will pill. Don't expose it in the sun too long. The ironing temperature should not be high. You'd better put a white cloth pad on the clothes when ironing. Store it after drying and cooling.

    Wash it with neutral detergent in the lukewarm water. Don't soak it in the boiling water. Wash it by hands gently. Then dry it in the well-ventilated places. Put a wet pad under when ironing. The Fabric containing chemical fiber shouldn't be high-temperature ironed or ironed repeatedly. When you store it, please keep it dry and moth proof it. You'd better hang it up.

    • When will my order be shipped?

      All stock merchandise will be dispatched for shipment within 2-3 working days of receipt of order. Please allow an additional 3-5 working days for custom-made or alteration service. You will be notified via email of any back orders, or other delays in shipping your order.We offer delivery via Registered International air parcel which takes up to 9-11 working days for you to receive your goods. We also offer Worldwide Express service which takes up to 3-5 working days for you to receive your goods.

    • How long would it take to receive my items after placing order?

      The total time required would be order processing time plus shipping time. A rough estimate for delivering to any major city in the world would be as below:

      Customer satisfaction is important to all of us at Good Orient. We will ship your merchandise as quickly as possible. If your order has not yet shipped, we can cancel it for you. A 5% bank charge, and an additional 5% cancellation charge will be imposed to offset the charges of online payment gateways. However, we shall not be able to process a cancellation once your order has been shipped.

  • Who pays for export custom duty?

    Import custom duty is usually paid by the customer. However, by shopping at Good Orient, we will charge a 1.5% tax of the total order amount as an insurance fee for input custom duty. In the very rare case, if your package is held by customs and liable for import duty, Good Orient will be responsible for paying the import duty for you!

  • How about the charges & exchange rates?

    For customers who paid by credit card, please note that there may be very slight differences in your credit card statement with the total amount stated in your order invoice due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates from the time your card is charged in US$ currency to the time our bank converts it into Hong Kong currency (HK$).

  • Can I get my goods specially gift wrapped?

    We provide three kinds of wrapping service: $0 Standard Wrapping, $3 Gift-Paper Wrapping and $5 Gift-Box Wrapping.
    $0 Standard Wrapping: The item is carefully wrapped with combination of packaging materials such as bubble paper, Styrofoam and corrugated cardboard boxes to ensure its safety during delivery, while clothing items are wonderfully wrapped with rice paper.
    $3 Gift-Paper Wrapping: This is specially applied to non-clothing items. With a well-select gift card offered free of charge to carry your message if any, we will carefully wrap your specified item with beautiful paper and voile bowknot, or put it in a nice carton box. Your merchandise will then be packed in the way of our standard wrapping service.
    $5 Gift-Box Wrapping: This is specially applied to clothing items. A well-select gift card is offered free of charge to carry your message if any, we will carefully wrap your specified item in the elegant gift box with voile bowknots tied outside or in a beautiful gift bag.   • How do I exchange items?

    The best way to arrange for an exchange is to contact our staff who will give you correct instructions pertaining to your particular order. Every exchange scenario can be different and there may be times when we can help you avoid unnecessary costs of sending your items back to us.

  • What should I do if the goods received are damaged?

    All products are carefully wrapped with utmost care to ensure a safe delivery to its destination. In case of damage during shipment, please file your damage claims to the delivering carrier immediately, and notify us within 72 hours of receipt of damaged merchandise by you.

  • What products can be returned or refunded?

    GoodOrient guarantees our product to be totally satisfied by you, and is very flexible on our return and refunds policy. However due to certain products that maybe customized to an individual's fitting, we will be unable to offer such perks to our customers.
    We allow ALL BUT THE FOLLOWING products to be returnable/refundable:

    - Custommade clothings.
    - Cut out fabrics
    - Personal name imprinted T-shirts
    - discounted and bargain selection items
    - items purchased over 45 working days
    - items damaged by improper cleaning method
    -Wholesale Orders (non-refundable, size-exchangable only)

    NOTE:All unauthorized, "freight to collect" or suface mail returns will be refused and no credit will be issued.

  • Can I have refund if I reject my package when it is delivered to me?

    If customers reject the package because of customs issue or other issues arouse at their side, we will not be responsible for arranging any refund towards the rejected package as we have fulfilled our obligation to complete and ship the orders to customers.

  • What is your address for returns or exchanges?

    We usually advice customer to contact our staff before sending items back to us, as there may be times when we can help you avoid unnecessary costs of sending your items back to us. We'll tell you the best way to handle your returns or exchanges and what you can expect from our end.   • Who pays for shipping exchange or return items back to GoodOrient.com?

    In a normal event, the customer will be responsible for shipping their items back to us, whereas we shall be responsible for re-shipping exchange items back to you. Thus, we suggest you make careful selections for clothing before you finalize your order. Please refer to the appropriate size chart information when ordering clothes. Our size charts follow US standards.

  • Can I get a refund?

    You will be eligible for a refund claim within 45 days from the date you placed your order. For refunds, we will issue you an immediate refund of the value of your returned goods minus a 10% re-stocking fee. This applies ONLY for items purchased at normal retail price. Discounted items or items purchased as part of a special promotion are NOT eligible for cash refunds, although we may be able to offer you store credits equivalent to the amount of the purchase price of your returned goods. These store credits can be redeemed as cash equivalents on your next purchase. For the best arrangement, please contact our staff to service your return request.

  • Why do I have to pay a 10% re-stocking fee for refunds? This is a store policy set by management. We need to charge a nominal fee in order to offset the cost of order processing.

  • What happens after I place my order?

    Our ordering system immediately emails you a copy of your latest order once you've placed an order through our online order form. You will also receive another email from us in about 4-5 business days to inform you of the status of your order. Please ensure that you are using your correct email account to view your email copy(i.e. the same email address you specified when filling out our online order form).

  • I haven't received any information about order status. Is there a problem?

    You should have received an acknowledgement approximately the status of your order in about 4-5 business days after you had placed your order. This message will inform you whether your package has been dispatched or of available options in the rare event that your order cannot be processed. Please ensure that you are using the correct email account to view our acknowledgement email directed to you(i.e. the same email address you specified when filling out our online order form).

  • I still haven't received my package within the time you specified. What's wrong?

    We usually need 4-5 working days to process your order before it is shipped out. Once it's shipped, it will take another 7-10 working days for your package to arrive at its shipping address. Packages on express deliveries will take about 3-4 working days in shipping time to reach the recipient. In the rare event that the recipient faces unexpected delays in receiving our products, this could be due to a customs holdup. These holdups are usually temporary before the goods are re-released to the recipient. The holdups are part of random checks conducted by customs staff to ensure that packages originating from overseas do not contain harmful ammunitions or chemical products. Please allow a grace waiting period of about 1 week if there happen to be cases of such unusual delays. After which, you can always contact us again for help.

  • What happens in the event of lost packages?

    Although we offer 3 types of delivery methods, we would suggest delivery by UPS or 10-Day Registered Parcel to avoid disappointments. (See Shipping Information) In an effort to further your shopping experience with us, GoodOrient.com has decided to protect customers on any loss of packages sent to you via UPS or Registered Post. For registered postings, simply wait 3 months, so we can determine and confirm that the package has been lost, and we will reimburse you a full store credit up to the value of the product that you chose. For UPS deliveries, it may take up to 1 month to claim for reimbursements. We remain as always 100% dedicated to customer service.

    For those who selected 'unregistered' postings as a choice of delivery, GoodOrient.com CANNOT be held accountable for loss of packages caused by your local postal systems.

  • How to purchase Gift Vouchers?

    Gift Vouchers are purchased just like any other item in our store. You can pay for them using any of the store's standard payment methods. Once purchased and delivered, the value of the Gift Voucher will be added to your own Voucher Account. If you have funds in your Voucher Account, you will notice the Voucher Balance at your account, and it also provides a link to the Send Gift Voucher page where you can send the Gift Voucher to someone via email.

  • How to send Gift Vouchers?

    To send a Gift Voucher you need to go to your account and press the "SEND YOUR FRIEND" button located inside the Voucher Account box. This will link you to the Send Gift Voucher page, where you need to specify the followings: The name of the person you are sending the Gift Voucher to. The email address of the person you are sending the Gift Voucher to. The amount you want to send. (Note: You don't have to send the full amount that is available in your Voucher Account.) A short message which will appear in the email. Please ensure that you have entered all of the information correctly, although you will be given the opportunity to change this as much as you want before the email is actually sent.

  • How to buy with Gift Vouchers?

    If you have funds in your Voucher Account, you can use those funds to purchase other items in our store. At the checkout stage, an extra box Credits Available will appear. Ticking this box will apply those funds in your Voucher Account. Please note, you still have to select another payment method if there is not enough fund in your Voucher Account to cover the cost of your purchase. If you have more funds in your Voucher Account than the total cost of your purchase, the balance will be left in your Voucher Account for the future.

  • How to redeem the Gift Vouchers?

    If you receive a Gift Voucher by email it will contain details of who sent you the Gift Voucher, along with possibly a short message from your friend. The email will also contain the Gift Voucher Redemption Code. It is probably a good idea to save this email for future reference. You can now redeem the Gift Voucher in two ways:
    1. By clicking on the link contained within the email for this express purpose. This will take you to the store's Redeem Gift Voucher page. If you do not hold an account at our store, you will be requested to create an account, before the Gift Voucher is validated and placed in your Voucher Account ready for you to spend it on whatever you want.
    2. During the checkout process, on the same page that you select a payment method, there will be a Credit Available box to enter a Redeem Code. Enter the code here, and click the redeem button.
